Church Street, Bayswater

The design brief for this small unit at Church Street, Bayswater was to take three existing small spaces (Bathroom, Laundry and Toilet) and combine them into a single WOW space. To achieve the client’s vision, removing the existing window was essential, replacing it with a Velux skylight. This added interest and lent natural light back into this otherwise moody space.

The Design Process

The focal point of this design concept was by far, the gorgeous hand crafted Forte Urban Deep Navy Internal Concrete Look Matt Tiles by Beaumont Tiles . This created the backdrop for a spacious double shower accented by the beautiful brass tapware by Phoenix Tapware. The wall hung vanity featured ‘Formwrap’ French Navy cabinetry by Laminex and Marbled 502 Sleet | Caesarstone Australia Benchtop.

The Laundry while nestled away from view, still kept its unique identity. Preferring the hardier Matt black plumbing hardware for this section, we reintroduced the warmth of brass hardware by cladding the joinery in Natural Oak woodgrain finish by Polytec

The result was a harmonious palette of colours and finishes generating a sense of excitement within the space.
